Wenner-Gren Foundation at the American Anthropological Association Meeting, San Jose, CA.

Wenner-Gren Foundation will be sponsoring different events (listed below) at the American Anthropological Meetings (Nov. 15th to Nov. 19th) in San Jose, California.


Book Launch for recent publications from the Wenner-Gren International Symposium Series 

Thursday, Nov. 16, 3.30pm
Palgrave/Berg booth, in the meeting's Exhibition Hall

There will be a wine reception launching the three books published in 2006 from the Wenner-Gren International Symposium Publication Series: "Roots of Human Sociality: Culture, Cognition and Interaction" edited by N. J. Enfield and Stephen C. Levinson, hot off the press in October 2006 followed by "Sensible Objects: Colonialism, Museums and Material Culture" edited by Elizabeth Edwards, Chris Gosden and Ruth B. Phillips and, finally, "World Anthropologies: Disciplinary Transformations in Systems of Power" edited by Gustavo Lins Ribeiro and Arturo Escobar (above right in the photograph, talking to Dr. Ricardo Santos, a member of the Wenner-Gren Advisory Council).
