While at the University of Kelaniya, Colombo, Sri Lanka, Rose Solangaarachchi received support for three years of training (2000 to 2003), plus a Dissertation Fieldwork Grant (2003) and one additional year for dissertation write-up (2005-2006), to study archaeology at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida, supervised by Dr. Peter R. Schmidt

The Wadsworth Fellowship is an important program to the Wenner-Gren Foundation. We are extremely proud of the Fellows who have been selected and like to highlight them in this program descriptions in annual reports and on our website. Toward this end, we ask all Fellows to submit photo images of themselves – preferably in their field sites -- to help illustrate the broad range of anthropological research funded through the Wadsworth Fellowship.

We also ask Fellows to submit a brief report (200 words) to accompany their photo, which describes their background, academic interests, and why they chose the host institution they are attending. These images and reports are published in the Foundation's Annual Reports, with many posted on Wenner-Gren's website and sometimes included in other promotional materials.

Be sure to include:

Your name and the year your fellowship was first approved.
The date and location where the image was taken, as well as the names or descriptions of others appearing in the photo

Images submitted in either JPEG or TIFF formats -- with resolutions of 300 dpi or even higher if possible – are the most useful.
