Presentation, "Late Pleistocene Human Migrations and Settlements in China and Related Issues"

Dr. Youping WANG is Professor of Archaeology at Peking University, China, where he has been teaching and conducting research with a focus on Palaeolithic archaeology and human evolution since 1986. Dr. Wang has published a large number of papers and books on these subjects, and has led excavations at such significant sites as the Jigongshan in Hubei Province, the Maanshan in Nihewan basin, and the Zhijidong, Laonainaimiao and Lijiagou in Henan Province.

Research interests:

Lithic technology; Human adaptation; Pleistocene environment; Modern human dispersal; East and Southeast Asia.
