Egle Rendzeviciute's research interests are the sociology of governance and the relationship between governance and science and technology.Egle's academic background is both interdisciplinary and international. Coming from Lithuania, she graduated in Art History from Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts (BA, Hons. 1999), Cultural Management from the Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences (MSc, distinction, 2000), Nationalism Studies from the Central European University in Budapest (MA, 2001) and was awarded her PhD in Culture Studies from Linköping University, Sweden (2008). Her doctoral dissertation (2008) explored the influence of cybernetics and early computing on Soviet governance of culture in the 1960s-1980s.
